Hello!
I often get asked, “why did you start this blog?” and the easiest response is: I wanted a space to reflect my senior year of college when I was stressing out about medical school applications. Over time, this blog evolved into more than self-reflection but also a space for me to share my journey and snippets of advice.
For the sake of introduction: I’m a member of Princeton University’s Class of 2014. I had a concentration in molecular biology and a certificate in global health and policy. I dabbled extensively in creative writing – I might share some of what I write here on the blog if you guys have any interest in that! I received my MD and MPH&TM degrees in the four-year program at Tulane School of Medicine (class of 2018). I subsequently went to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to complete my pediatrics residency.
I am currently a BMT hospitalist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and soon to head to Texas Children’s Hospital for my pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship. Feel free to follow more of my daily life on Instagram and Twitter.
You can read a little bit more about me on some of the following Instagram features: @nigeriansinmedicine, @brownwomenwhitecoats, @frosandcoats, @melanindoc, @youngladywatching, @med•ish, and @reseaudocteur.
Nice!

Hi! I’ve really enjoyed your very detailed posts about your MPH life and adjustment to medical school. It’s nice to see how other people are transitioning into medical school in a different place. I’m really looking forward to seeing where you’ll take this blog, so I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Award (https://thebhanproject.wordpress.com/2014/07/22/liebster-award-nomination/). I know you’re hella busy, but I hope you’ll accept! 🙂
